World's Greatest Athlete

For the last five years, Bryan Clay has been a very busy decathlete. In 2004, he took home a silver medal in Athens. In 2005, it was a World Championship in Helsinki. More recently, Bryan joined an elite pantheon of Wheaties® Champions by winning the gold medal in Beijing. The only question left surrounding the man who was once considered a long shot to medal in any international competition is, "What’s next?"

Fast, Fit, And Strong

In order to win, decathletes must be fast, fit, and strong. Bryan has achieved this through the combination of a punishing training schedule and cutting-edge performance nutrition. To power through his routine, Bryan starts each morning with a balanced breakfast that includes complex carbohydrates, B-vitamins and other vital nutrients. He stays conscious of the nutrients his body needs throughout a long day of training and then what it needs to recover and prepare to do it all again tomorrow. It was this knowledge that Bryan brought to the table when creating the new Wheaties Fuel®, and is what will keep him competing at a high level for years to come.

Debating The All-Time Greats

The ceremonious title of "The World’s Greatest Athlete" is typically bestowed upon the champion decathlete of the day. That being said, of the individuals who have been “The World’s Greatest Athlete,” how do you determine the greatest of them? Bryan has opted to take a fairly straightforward approach to the problem by aspiring to repeat his Beijing performance in London in 2012. This would make Bryan the only athlete in history to earn a third medal in the decathlon, which would indisputably place him in the debate of "Who is the all-time greatest decathlete?"
